| GoText v1.03 Released, Barely Found by Chinese | Tuesday, 9-27-2005, 12:20 am |
The weekend was nice. On Saturday I took some time to patch a few holes in the GoText and release v1.03. Phillip made a new GoText animation for the website which I've posted. Also we went and grabbed some food and played darts for a couple hours.
I went down to the beach on Sunday with a few friends which was nice and relaxing. We tossed around the frisbee for a while until we got tired of chasing it. I ended up with a red face but that's what I get for not putting on the SPF. I later found out that everyone had opted for the beach over an adventure in the Everglades and that's probably a good thing. With first-hand knowledge of the thickness of the mosquitoes out there, I can understand why most of the good Everglades trails are only popular in the fall.
Yesterday I noticed that StumbleInside.com had received a hit from the Baidu spider which means, of course, that this page got indexed into the newly-IPO'd search engine. Unfortunately a quick search for GoText on the "Chinese Google" turned up only 14 results - this website being number 14 on the list.

Those pics are all from the digicam - some day soon phones will be able to match the quality, but not today. The shirt is from Isreal. Josh got it for me when he went there earlier this year. I think is says CocaCola or something very close to that! Yep, I gotta cater to the Chinese these days. I don't want to miss out on that emerging market!

I'm glad you are finding GoText useful. I would like to someday expand the idea to international locations, but right now I don't have the time or the ability to fully test everything in other countries. Maybe in the future!
