We just got back from Gainsville about an hour ago. The destination was actually Ichetucknee Springs State Park where we spent the weekend swimming and tubing down the river. We had a couple car-loads of people that went along for the ride - Carolina, Ali, Rohit, Wade, Sook, William, Shea, and myself.

The springs were awesome! The water is crystal clear which made me wish Shea and I had brought our snorkel gear along. We were still able to see various fish swimming around below the surface. The side effect of the fresh water is that it is very cold - 72 degrees in fact. As they say, you have to get in just like pulling off a band-aid - as quickly as possible. On the bright side, the water is too chilly for gators to hang around the area.

We probably have photos from three different cameras, so I'll be posting them as I get 'em. But first I have to put up the pictures from my trip to Texas last weekend...
